Our website uses a small number of functional cookies to make the website easier to use and to remember choices you have made, such as your language preference and your cookie choice.
With your consent, we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the website. We have prepared tools for advertising (Google Ads remarketing and the Meta Pixel), but they are not yet active; once our advertising campaigns run, they will only be used with your marketing consent.
Analytics and marketing cookies are never set without your consent, and the functional cookies we set ourselves are not used to build a profile about you or to track you across other websites.
How Consent Works on This Site
When you first visit our website, a banner asks how you want us to handle cookies. Accepting and rejecting are equally easy — the banner offers “Accept all”, “Reject all”, and “Preferences”, where you can allow analytics and marketing separately and confirm with “Save choices”.
Before you make a choice, no cookies requiring consent are set. Google Tag Manager itself does load in the background in a consent-denied mode: it stores nothing on your device and sends no personal identifiers, and Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals until (and unless) you grant consent. The vk_consent cookie is set only at the moment you make a choice, to remember it.
Your choice is stored for 180 days. After that, the cookie expires and the banner asks again. You can also change your mind at any time before then: the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page reopens the banner, and your new choice takes effect immediately.

Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses; IP data is used only briefly to derive approximate location. We use these statistics in aggregate to improve the site.
Marketing cookies (only with your consent, and only once our advertising campaigns run)
We have prepared tools for Google Ads remarketing and the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram advertising), but they are not yet active. Once our advertising campaigns run, and only if you have given marketing consent, these tools will set cookies to measure our ads and show them to people who have visited our site. If you have not given marketing consent, they will never load — campaign or no campaign.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your details are sent to Mailchimp, operated by Intuit Inc. Mailchimp may set its own cookies or use similar technologies when you interact with newsletter forms or related services. For more information, please see Mailchimp’s own privacy and cookie information.
Our website is hosted by WP Engine, and some website content is delivered by technical service providers: the jsDelivr content delivery network, and — on our contact page — the unpkg content delivery network and OpenStreetMap, which provide the interactive map. These services may receive technical information, such as your IP address, in order to deliver website content and protect the website. They do not set cookies on our website.
Managing Cookies
You can change or withdraw your consent to analytics and marketing cookies at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
You can also manage, delete, or block cookies through your browser settings. Because the functional cookies listed above are used for functionality, blocking them may affect certain features, such as remembering your language preference or your cookie choice. However, blocking these cookies should not prevent you from using the website. Note that deleting the vk_consent cookie simply means the banner will ask for your choice again on your next visit.
